It's calm and has the usual P-et-V feel, with a great pool area and free parking. There's everything you need for a short or longer stay. The beach is a short walk away, while the restaurants and center of Soulac sur mer take a little longer to reach on foot.

Being only a five-minute walk from the beach was a real plus. Soulac-sur-Mer’s center took 20-25 minutes on foot, or about five by bike, and you can rent bikes at the residence. They’ll also take orders at reception for croissants, baguettes, and pain au chocolat for the next day, and rent out electric barbecues for €5. Our apartment was meant for five or six, though there were just two of us. It had a main bedroom, a very cramped bunk-bed room, and a kitchen and living area. The kids’ room had no room to play, and opening its door meant hitting the bunk bed. The main bed was only 1.40 m wide, with one large blanket, and both bedroom mattresses were very hard. From the second night on I slept on the sofa bed, which had a good mattress. The place was clean. The bathroom was small but made good use of the space and had a bathtub; the toilet was in its own little room. The kitchen had enough equipment, though the meat and vegetable knives were very dull and the cutting board looked well used. A small bar separated the kitchen from the table. We had a balcony facing the pool, so it got noisy during the day with children swimming and playing. The pool itself is an okay size, but can get very crowded when the residence is full on hot days. This place seems better suited to families than couples or solo travelers. For French holiday accommodation, it’s very good, especially if you’re coming with children.

It was easy to walk from the hotel down to the beach, and the pool was great. The staff were lovely too. We really enjoyed being able to relax here.
