Logis Hotel Le Saint Clement

The room was just okay, but the food was good, classic French fare.

Everyone seemed to get the same treatment, whether they were regulars or just passing through. We had a pleasant welcome, and the cooking felt refined. At Easter weekend lunch, the meat was tender, the desserts were good, and the frogs’ legs were a real treat, nicely browned without being dry. The quality was excellent and the price reasonable. The portions have got smaller, and so have the aperitifs. Coke used to come by the bottle, for instance, and now it’s served by the glass. The cheese menu listed four pieces, maybe because some people tend to overdo it.

We were a group of motorcyclists, and even though we’d booked weeks ahead, our numbers changed as some people dropped out and others joined. The hotel manager handled it perfectly, assigning beds to suit the rooms and the group size. The team were helpful and attentive, and the welcome was really warm. The meals were generous and good quality. A place worth remembering.

We slept really well in the quiet village. The bedding was clean and very comfortable, and breakfast at the hotel was a nice bonus. We got a lovely welcome at this great hotel. Thanks :)
