Hôtel Rohan Strasbourg

We spent two nights at this lovely hotel, right on Cathedral square, and the location was amazing. The front desk team were friendly and very obliging, and breakfast was nice with a good self service selection. One small suggestion: a handrail over the bath and shower would help. The tub was slippery when I got out the first time, so I was extremely careful after that.

The location would be hard to beat, with shops, sights, and good restaurants close by, and the cathedral just steps away. We stayed for two days near the start of September and had a fantastic time. The rooms were great, and the staff were wonderful and really helpful. I’d highly recommend the hotel and would easily stay again if I came back.

The lobby and relaxation area were lovely, the buffet was decent, and the staff were friendly. But the rooms we had, both of them, were unclean, and that was unacceptable. The bathroom was dirty, the safe and closet were tiny and didn’t work, and the damaged room door was hard to close. There was also an old TV with no way to mirror or stream to it. We paid an exorbitant price during Christmas Market season, and the hotel’s star rating was misrepresented. It wasn’t worth the money, and we don’t recommend it.

The rooms are small, though we expected that. The bigger issue was cleanliness: the wallpaper, shower head, and tiles all looked like they had black mold, and the rooms could have been cleaned much better. The location is great except during Christmas market season, when the crowds make getting here a real hassle.
