The room was roomy and quiet, and breakfast was really good. The center isn’t right around the corner, but the walk through the pleasant area is doable, with a McDonalds and a Domino’s store along the way. You can also take the tram. I had a very good stay.

The rooms are badly dated. The AC didn’t work, and the shower head kept tilting so water ended up all over the floor. Breakfast was hit or miss, with limited choices some days and a good spread on others. There’s no tea or coffee station in the room, though plenty of free amenities are available downstairs. The staff were kind and accommodating, and the beds were very comfortable. It was inexpensive even during school holidays, with fast free Wi-Fi and underground parking. The tram stop is close, with frequent A and E services to the center. There’s also a gym and a games room.

I was extremely disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying here. Our room lights kept flickering, and the walls were so thin that we could hear everything and had no privacy. The place was very dirty, and they didn’t even change our sheets. Breakfast had little variety and wasn’t replenished quickly enough. There were also no basic things like a fridge or safe.

We found the hotel convenient for getting around: the A and E trams stop there, serving centre-ville and the university respectively. Breakfast was good, and the staff were warm, friendly, and helpful. We had a great stay.
