The rooms are spacious and clean, with comfortable beds and very clean linens. The location is handy for both the historic center and the train station. Reception is only open limited hours, though the staff there are attentive. There are some maintenance problems: all the clothes hangers are broken, the bathroom mirror is broken, and the shower curtain is badly stained. Breakfast is sparse and poor for what it costs.

The staff made the stay: they were friendly, considerate, knowledgeable, and quick to respond. The rooms are comfortable and well appointed, and the location puts you close to all the Christmas Markets. We had a wonderful experience.

The staff were kind and really helpful, letting us check in late and being flexible with checkout because of another issue we had, unrelated to the hotel. The location worked perfectly for our holiday. The room was basic, but it had a kitchen and some furniture, and the price was low, so that’s why I gave it four stars. The room was clean, and the pillow covers were too, but the pillows inside were really dirty. I think I’ll come back, though I expect cleaner pillows.

The rooms face either an inner courtyard or the street, and opening the window did nothing during the heatwave because there was no breeze. With no air conditioning and only a small fan, it got so hot that several people in our group left three days early to find another hotel. Maybe this place works better in fall or winter. This was the strangest hotel I’ve stayed in. I only saw staff at check-in. After that the reception was empty and boarded up, which made me feel a bit unsafe.
