Studio Strasbourg Gare

We stayed over New Year with our six-month-old, and the area felt safe. The hotel provides a free cot for babies, and the staff were friendly. It’s close to the city center, with rooms that are roomy enough. The downside is parking: there’s no hotel parking, so you have to use a garage about an 8-10 minute walk away. They only offer a discount code for it.

We enjoyed our stay and found the hotel a good base for the Christmas markets in Strasbourg and Colmar. It worked well for arriving late by train, and places on or near the Grand Île are expensive, as this one was too. The room was clean, well serviced and comfortable, with a very comfortable bed. It was in good condition and everything worked, but the setup was minimal: no cupboards or drawers, no safe, and poor lighting. The bathroom only had light from a mirror. Breakfast was good, though the small room got crowded and staff struggled to keep up.

Our check-in was very quick, which was welcome after a long flight. The room was cleaned nicely compared with other hotels I’ve stayed at in France. We hadn’t asked for a view or expected one, since we’d paid for the cheapest room type, but we got a great look at the Strasbourg Notre Dame. The hotel is right outside the central station, and the old town is an easy walk away. I’d definitely recommend it.

The reception team made me feel welcome from the moment I arrived. They were warm, kind and helpful, and every interaction felt genuine and professional. Check-in was smooth, they shared useful local tips, and everyone had a smile. The location by the station is perfect, and the rooms are clean and comfortable, with a cozy, modern feel. Five-star hospitality.
