Hotel Atrium

The room temperature ruined our sleep. The control was broken, the thermostat showed an error code, and staff said all the rooms were like that. I doubt it, since the rest of the hotel felt cool. We left the window open for hours before bed, but still woke at 4am on the first night drenched in sweat. The room was unbearable, and they wouldn’t move us. I’d stay away until they fix the temperature problems if you care about sleeping. We were lucky it was cold outside. I can’t imagine being here in hot weather. There was mold in the shower, which I was prepared to overlook, but the temperature issue and the staff’s apparent lack of knowledge or competence were too much. They were extremely polite and friendly, though, and the free coffee was nice. The location was very good, right by a tram for getting around. The view from the balcony was wonderful, with the Eiffel Tower visible, though the balcony cost extra.

The employees were very nice and polite, and our bed was comfortable, though it smelled damp. We stayed 3 nights, but the overall experience was really poor because the main areas were dirty and poorly maintained, despite things that seemed easy to fix. Breakfast was okay, but after 08:30 most items had run out and weren’t replenished. Our two north-facing bedrooms were very quiet, which was a real plus in a hotel, but they were so humid that mold had formed on the walls.

We found the staff friendly and professional, and the location was great. We were there during the French Open and the Champions League (CL) final, so we could enjoy the festivities without being too close to the subsequent post-match events.

We were two adults and one child, staying for four nights. On the first night, the welcome from the woman at reception felt cold, and the room was dusty. When I asked if it had a view, she said they didn’t know and there was no other room. There was no blanket at first. When they brought one, nobody helped fit it into the unsuitable cover. The next day, a young man changed our room at our request, which I appreciated, but we ran into other problems. Hot water took 15 minutes to come through, the pressure was very low, and room service was poor. There was no vacuuming or bathroom cleaning, and the bath drain blocked after the second night. Our room cards stopped working every evening when we returned. Staff were cold throughout. They also charged me city tax twice, even though I’d already paid it when booking. I showed the bill, but the woman at reception kept interrupting when I tried to explain.
