We spent three weeks here and would gladly come back when we can. The bed was super comfortable, and the ensuite was good. In the morning, you hear birds singing in the bamboo just outside your window. We also had lovely long evenings chatting in the garden over a bottle of wine. Heaven, and Marc Albert was a wonderful host.

The owners make you feel very welcome, and the house has the charm of an old village home. It's a dream if you're after peace and quiet: almost no sound at night, maybe two or three cars at most, with only the birds breaking the silence. The room feels a little like a maid's room, old-fashioned but very clean, and the bed is very comfortable. There's a microwave, plus a small table with coffee, sugar and the like, a thoughtful touch. Just be aware that it's very isolated. There's nothing nearby, no bistro, restaurant or even a small village grocery store. The quiet comes at a price.

We were just passing through for one night, and Albert had prepared a perfect room for a restful, quiet stay. He welcomed us so warmly and kindly.

Everything is small-scale here, which is just right if that's what you're looking for. The owner is very hospitable, and we slept wonderfully in a comfortable bed. It's a beautiful old town in a lovely setting.
