I paid over a hundred euros a night and got the worst hotel stay I've ever had. The lobby was nearly always locked, so I had to walk around the building to get to the entrance. Breakfast was mostly prefab food, with stale bread. There was barely room for my suitcase, so I had to leave it on the top bunk. The room smelled of cigarettes, and the tiny bathroom had mould. The mattress was so thin and hard it might as well have been pallets. It was right by a busy highway, and the doors did nothing to keep the noise out. I usually think you get what you pay for, but that wasn't the case here. Stay away!

The receptionist was friendly, and having a private car park was a relief in that area. For a cheap overnight stop on a long drive, it might work if you can put up with a hole-in-the-wall kind of room. We found a pizzeria nearby with good handmade pizzas from a wood-fired oven, though the nearest restaurants are at least a 15-20 minute walk away. The bed seemed new and wasn't bad, and the small table and chair did too. But the floor was dirty and the walls had old-looking stains. The bathroom was the worst part: tiny, all plastic, discoloured and stained, with the shower basically taking up the whole toilet. The place is next to a busy motorway and very noisy. The booking listing specifically said it wasn't soundproof, and the pair of earplugs in the room felt like a joke. There are no views either.

We couldn't get into the hotel at all. There was no parking when we arrived and nobody there to let us in, but we still had to pay for the night. With every other hotel fully booked, we ended up sleeping in the car. The worst night of my life.

I was driving from Italy to the UK and booked this for one night because it was cheap and close to the motorway. Big mistake. The room was cramped, the plastic bathroom felt claustrophobic and smelled like public toilets. Don't even bother with the breakfast. Lesson learned.
