The hiking trails are easy to reach from Hotel Floridor, and the breakfast buffet was quite good, with plenty of choice and eggs made to order. Still, a few things made the stay disappointing. Our room hadn’t been arranged with the two single beds I’d requested by phone, and housekeeping didn’t replenish basics like toilet paper or shower gel. The night entrance buzzer was also very loud from our nearby room. Most uncomfortable was the owner’s response to my Logishotel voucher. He was reluctant to accept it and openly said he wasn’t happy with the guests his Logishotel affiliation brought in.

We found it handy to have bike storage and good parking right outside. The hotel sits by the forest and has a cozy, welcoming feel, with warm service. It’s been run by the same family for four generations. We really enjoyed the varied, tasty breakfast, which was 10eur per person per day, and the delicious restaurant food. The recommended aperitif maison with elderflower and cremant d’Alsace was lovely too. There are tennis courts and a small pond right across from the hotel, where we spotted a handsome heron 😎

Tucked away outside town, this was a fantastic hotel. Everything was 5*****. There’s secure parking for motorbikes, and I’d highly recommend it.

We were made to feel at home at Hotel Floridor. The room was roomy, spotless, and comfortable, with a relaxing atmosphere. Although breakfast wasn’t available, there was a generous basket of pastries waiting in the room, along with a kettle, coffee, and tea. The person we spoke to on the phone was welcoming and friendly from the start. We stayed the night of November 22nd to 23rd, and really appreciated the thoughtful service. I highly recommend it.
