The place has a wonderful soul, and we had a timeless weekend there. It felt like being in Japan, and the setting is fabulous. Nathalie took care of everything, from the perfect welcome to a lovely breakfast. We had a very good stay.

The little garden and the stream beside the guesthouse made it easy to slow down and forget the world for a while. Its layout also helps you get away from the rest of Thiers and the area around it. Inside, the hostess has decorated the rooms with real care, and the Japanese style made us feel as if we'd traveled to Japan without leaving France. Sleeping on a futon was a complete change for us, and it was very comfortable. One thing to know if you're modest: the bathroom and toilet are separated from the bedroom by only a Japanese fabric. I can't remember what it's called, but you can see it on the guesthouse website. The hostess was lovely and explained Japanese customs so we could avoid any faux pas. She also gave us ideas for meals, short walks and things to do nearby. We highly recommend this charming bed and breakfast for a few nights away.

We loved our stay and were really happy when we checked out. It's such a welcoming place, and the hostess is very friendly. She puts a lot of care into the delicious breakfast. There was also a lovely display of Japanese crafts made from local materials.

The room we chose was clean and tastefully decorated, and we were given a very warm welcome. Minshuku makes you feel transported to Japan without leaving the country. Its setting around the former tannery is exceptional and makes the trip well worth it.

Nathalie made us feel so welcome and was wonderfully attentive. The Japanese decor, with its soft colors and different lighting options, was lovely, and I especially liked the little round cushions by the window. The river under the window and the Japanese garden made the place feel calm and relaxing. I'd never slept on a futon before, but found it incredibly comfortable. For dessert, Nathalie treated me to her first try at a braided apple brioche, and it was delicious. The generous platter of local cheeses and charcuterie came with lovely bread, and breakfast was excellent too. I had a relaxing evening here between two long journeys. Thanks so much for a lovely stay, I'd happily recommend this bed and breakfast.
