Hotel Archambeau

The meal choices were plentiful and nicely presented, and we ate at the restaurant every evening. We also had the continental breakfast, which offered a wide selection. A very nice gentleman helped us understand the setup and use the equipment. The complex has been in the same family for six generations. As neighboring buildings have come onto the market, the family has bought and renovated them to a high standard. Our ground-floor room had a good layout and an outdoor area for sitting in nice weather. It was large, spotless, quiet during our stay, and had a good-sized double bed. The bathroom was lovely, with an excellent shower. The toilets were clean and pleasant, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout the complex. We had a very friendly welcome and were shown to our rooms, given an explanation of the facilities, and provided with the Wi-Fi code. Parking behind the complex was good, and checking out was no problem. We had a lovely time and took up the offer of an hour in the Spa sauna suite for 25 euros. It was excellent. We’d happily recommend ARCHAMBEAU Hotel & Restaurant.

Really nice and friendly. We’ve booked a second stay.

The food was good, the service was good, and the prices felt fair. We stopped for a meal at 13:30, unsure whether we’d be served since many places in France have a firm 2pm cutoff. The toilets aren’t adequate for the maximum number of guests the place can host.

We were househunting and stayed for a couple of nights. The room was at the rear, with a courtyard parking area, and was simple but very clean. The staff were pleasant. The pool wasn’t heated, which came as a bit of a shock and amused the other pool users, but it was lovely once you’d been in for a few minutes. We had a wonderful meal and enjoyed sitting in the garden across the road for a drink. I’d recommend it if you’re looking for value for money.
