The reception staff were incredibly nice, and the location is a real plus: right by the station and only 5-10 minutes from Victor Hugo market and the town centre. It’s a great base for exploring this lovely city. The older building is good value, the rooms can be a little small, but everything was very clean and the air-con worked really well.

The front desk woman was really kind and even let me use the toilet. I left my bags there for a day, at 5 euro per bag. They put them in a separate room and attached numbered tags, then checked my number when I came back. That felt reasonably secure, though I still wouldn’t leave anything really valuable, since someone picking up their own bag might be able to grab it.

The staff were nice, and the hotel is near the train station, but I had the worst stay I’ve ever experienced. Just five minutes after entering my room at night, I found seven bed bugs crawling on the bed, walls, and furniture. Absolutely disgusting. I told the staff right away. They didn’t seem surprised, so it made me wonder if this happens repeatedly. They offered me another room or a full refund.

It’s a good spot for a short visit. Nothing fancy, and it looks a little run down, but it was okay.

I left my luggage for the day, which was super handy since it’s right by the train station and on the way to the city centre. The staff were absolutely lovely and gave me all the details in advance. Thank you so much!
