Appartement Capitole

It’s cheap and well located, but the room noise was awful. I could hear my neighbour snoring, so you can imagine what else carries through the walls. I’d stay farther out next time for somewhere cleaner and quieter.

The reception staff were lovely, but one staff member kept knocking to service the room after I’d asked her not to. I finally had to open the door naked to get her to stop. Even my broken French, “30 minutes, please,” didn’t work. The location in central Toulouse is excellent, and the hotel is very cheap. The foyer looks spacious and new, but our room was tiny and very tired. It faced an internal courtyard, the pillow was barely useful, and we had to ask for towels. There was no shampoo or room safe, and the toilet had no door. The privacy curtain was very thin. It was manageable since we spent a lot of time out, but the room was so shabby I wouldn’t stay again.

The room was basic but had everything needed, and the location was great. The reception staff were welcoming and helpful throughout my stay.

The location is good, reception was polite and efficient, and the beds were comfortable. The rooms are clean, but very small and worn. The bathroom was run down and the toilet lid was broken. We could have stayed longer, but the price went up after a few days, so we went elsewhere. The value only makes sense if it costs less than nearby hotels. Otherwise, I’d choose another place.
