B&B HOTEL Toulouse Cité de l'Espace Mouchotte

We booked rooms with breakfast included, but before 9am they had already run out of croissants, pain aux chocolate, baguette, butter, and cheese, even though breakfast was supposed to run until 10. There were still some greasy madeleines, jam, and butter. Otherwise, tough luck! We booked for two and got one towel. We've had considerably better experiences with this hotel chain at other times.

The hardest part was arriving at 2 AM with my three children and no idea where to go. My child had a high fever, it was cold outside, and nobody was there to show us to a room. I’d tried calling during the day to warn them we’d be late, but got no answer, and there were no self check-in instructions in my email. I spotted a kiosk and, luckily, a room was available to book. I even checked nearby B&Bs to make sure I had the right place before paying for a new booking at the kiosk. It was a pretty stressful way to start a stay. At least now I know what to expect.

It was a very busy place and completely full when we stayed, so well done to the Femme de menage for getting the rooms turned around so quickly and doing such a good job. Our family room was comfortable and had what we needed. A few things looked a bit worn, though, like the missing grill on the bathroom vent and stains in the shower grout.

Fine for one night while passing through, but I wouldn’t choose it for a holiday in the area. The self check-in is handy, though it feels cold and impersonal, and the thin walls meant we could hear everything next door. There’s no elevator, which makes carrying luggage upstairs difficult. The room also had no fridge, microwave, hair dryer, or kettle. The rooms themselves were clean and neat.
