The maid was really friendly. I’d accidentally left my belt in the car park, and she brought it to me. The hotel is handy for the airport, and there’s a tram nearby that goes into the city centre. Reception was frustratingly slow, with just one person there, often on the phone. That affected check-in, check-out, and my request for a late checkout. They initially confirmed the late checkout, then someone knocked shortly after the usual checkout time to say they couldn’t do it and I had to leave. Even though public transport runs until 1am, the gate was locked when I came back on foot around 10:30pm. After calling the hotel, I had to walk in through the car gate.

Bruno at the front desk is excellent, and the service there is usually very good. The bar is nice, and the rooms are manageable. Breakfast is good too, with crepes sometimes.

We’ve spent hours working in the breakfast area and always felt comfortable there. The staff are kind, friendly, and helpful, and breakfast has plenty of choices, including good espresso and tea. The rooms are compact but clean and comfortable. It’s easy to get to the airport by tram, and the city centre isn’t too far away. The hotel restaurant is nice and inexpensive, and the red wines are usually good quality. I always feel at home at this hotel.

There’s no kettle or coffee maker in the room, which would be a useful addition. The nearby public transport and restaurants are a 10-15 minute walk. The room was okay and reasonably clean, and breakfast was quite decent compared with other hotels in this price range nearby. Traffic noise still came through at night, though, so the sound insulation isn’t great.

I stayed for 10 nights, and it definitely wouldn’t be my first choice. I arrived on Monday, but the room wasn’t cleaned until Thursday. I asked on Sunday, Monday morning, and Monday afternoon for cleaning, fresh towels, and toilet paper. In the end, I got toilet paper. Better than nothing. I’m still at the hotel, so I’ll update this if anything changes.
