ibis Lille Tourcoing Centre

The clean bedding was the one thing that kept me from walking out. The hotel felt very dated and had a horrible smell throughout. There was no coffee, tea, or safe in the room, and when we arrived at 8pm the staff weren’t very helpful. The rooms were red hot with no air conditioning, so I had to ask for a fan. On the second day there were no towels left, and again I had to ask. There’s only one lift for four floors and it fits three people, so we were left waiting with luggage. In the end we put the bags in the lift and took the stairs down ourselves. Breakfast was less than average, and the breakfast staff weren’t helpful. I wouldn’t stay again.

The garage is about 100 meters from the hotel at another location, and the directions aren’t clear. There’s no map or clear explanation of how to get in and out using the access code the hotel gives you. The receptionist didn’t speak English and used Google Translate to direct us to the parking. The rooms are very old, with dirty carpets, a small and very old bath, and some broken furniture. Breakfast was 5/10. All in all, this was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in.

This was my fifth stay, and also my last. The rooms are outdated, and the two people at reception seemed more focused on shouting at each other than helping the customers waiting there. They showed no interest and were quite rude.

We only stayed for one night. The room was a little dated, but did what we needed. The receptionist greeted us warmly, and it was really useful to be able to leave our luggage for the day after checkout. A good budget hotel.
