Camping De Collignon

We spent a fortnight here and would happily come back. The owner was really friendly, and the accommodation was very clean and spacious, with room for two adults and three kids, two bathrooms, a big kitchen, a TV, and plenty of places to sit indoors and outside. The beach is just a stone’s throw away, so you can swim in the morning or evening depending on the tides. It’s also easy to drive along the coast to the little seaside towns, towards Barfleur or the other way past Cherbourg. A good base for seeing all the beautiful places around here.

The toilets could be better, but I’d stay here again. The pitch was a good size, and the location was nice. There’s a lovely little Diner with a warm feel, plus music videos and concerts on a big screen in the background, which made the place feel relaxing. This campsite has a lot of potential.

The gravel was a bit tricky for a motorcycle, though that’s a personal thing. The owners were friendly, even if they didn’t speak English, and it’s a nice spot near the beach. There’s WiFi at reception and a bar. The sanitary facilities were the weak point, with just one shower and the water was only a bit warm.

I wouldn’t stay again. We were there in April, and the toilet was blocked and closed. The whole place seemed neglected, and some power points didn’t work. At night, cars in the beach car park played loud music. There was also a goat tied up by the sink in the wash-up area.
