Hôtel Les Amandiers

The breakfast was thoughtfully prepared, and the staff gave guests personal attention. We’re vegans visiting France, so there wasn’t much we could eat, though the presentation certainly looked like it had taken a lot of effort. Everyone was extremely polite and accommodating. We’re Americans here for a wedding, and the language barrier and check-in were a little confusing, but that’s our issue, not theirs. Not having a microwave, small fridge, or iron in the room was a bit inconvenient. Maybe that’s standard in France, for all we know.

We slept fantastically in a quiet room with a very comfortable, supportive bed. The balcony furniture was spotless, like the rest of the hotel. Staff were very helpful, and breakfast was simple but had a good selection. Even the coffee was good. It’s an easy walk to town and the Hermitage hill. I’ll definitely stay again and highly recommend it.

There’s no coffee machine or even a kettle in the room. Otherwise, it was clean and a good size, and the rooms have been remodeled. The hotel is right in the wine region, so it gives you great access to the area.

We wanted a simple place within walking distance of restaurants and shops, and this was exactly what we expected when booking. The rooms and bathrooms were clean and fairly large compared with other European-style hotels. The owners also give it a local, family feel. There’s secure, gated parking. Services are fairly basic, but that suited what we were looking for.
