Hotel Le Castel Fleuri

The family room was spacious and clean, with plenty of room for us and our two children. Breakfast was very good, and we could walk into the town centre in just a few minutes. The location was very quiet, and the car park and building are secured at night. We had no trouble finding a space for our mid-size SUV. We were driving south from Caen to Rochechouart and arrived in the middle of the night after a delayed ferry crossing. The owners were very helpful and gave us clear arrival instructions. We'd certainly stay again.

The room and hotel staff were lovely, and I look forward to returning soon. I especially loved the peaceful garden room, which I started calling my secret garden. Tours is a short walk away for daytime or evening activities, with so much to do, and it was lovely to come back to such a calm place. Most of all, the bed and pillows were perfect. I've never slept as well as I did here. I'd recommend the hotel, its staff, and the location.

The host gave us such a lovely, warm welcome and went beyond what we expected. Breakfast was excellent, with lots of choice. Our newly decorated room was clean and tidy, and the location was perfect for exploring Tours. I can't think of a single downside. We'd absolutely visit again if we're in Tours.

We LOVED staying at the Castel Fleuri. Pascal, Zoya, and the staff were fun, attentive, and so helpful. Tours was a joy to explore, and the hotel made a perfect base for seeing the town and the region. It's across the bridge from the historic downtown, so it's peaceful and quiet while still an easy walk away. Our room was clean and comfortable, with lots of storage, and I especially liked the huge window. We only had breakfast once, but it was wonderful. If we come back to Tours, we'll stay at Castel Fleuri again. A note for fellow Americans: as is usual in this part of the world, there's no air conditioning, something we often miss when travelling abroad. The building stayed cooler than outside, and the weather was lovely at the end of June. I was comfortable with the window open and the large fan.
