La Traversière Chambres d'hôtes

My husband and I spent a sunny, delightful three-day weekend at La Traversière from September 7th to 9th, 2018. It sits in a quiet, family-friendly neighborhood just steps from the lively heart of Tours, and we still have very fond memories of the stay. We highly recommend it. Go without hesitation, you’ll be delighted! The owners have brought together a listed 19th-century house and simple, clean modern decor. The mix of eras and styles works beautifully: the rooms feel bright and spacious, with understated natural colors. Our elegant room was spotless, comfortable, and functional, with quality furniture, comfortable bedding, and silky sheets. The hosts were charming, attentive, and discreet. Breakfast was perfect, with fresh organic products: freshly squeezed juice, coffee, dairy, scrambled eggs, croissants, or baguette with butter and regional jam. It’s a house where contemporary style blends naturally with the old. What more can I say except praise?

A very nice room and a hearty breakfast, especially the superb homemade fruit salad. The bathroom is a little small, but you get used to it. Good value for a short stay.
