Breakfast was quite good, and the staff were polite and helpful. The rooms are a little small, but there are generous shared areas; the bed was great and it was quiet. It’s about a 10 minute drive to the Normandy beaches and Bayeux. I’ve never stayed anywhere as clean as this. Seriously spotless. Check the ledge above the doors. Highly recommended.

The people here made my first trip abroad, and my first time in Normandy, much easier. When I arrived late on June 2, around 10-11PM, the front desk was closed, so I called the number on the door. I can’t remember the gentleman’s name, but he was really friendly, got me my room key, and set aside breakfast for the next morning. I overslept badly because of jet lag. Even though it was 11:30am and well past breakfast, he still brought me a tray with a chocolate croissant, a regular croissant, and a Madeline. They were delicious, and the apple juice was the best I’ve ever had. On my last full day, car travel was restricted for the actual D-Day anniversary, with Biden and Macron in the area. I wanted to see the German artillery battery and Arromoches. The battery was 2.5-3 miles away, a bit too far to walk, so the wife in charge, who I think was named Marie, lent me a bicycle for free and gave me directions. They advised me to take the longer route to the battery because the main road was dangerous. I followed that advice on the way there, but after returning the bicycle I walked to Arromoches, about 1 mile away. I understood their warning: there was heavy traffic and the roads were narrow. I walked back at night, but luckily had a small light so I could be seen. The rooms were very clean and the beds comfortable. The location was absolutely perfect as a base for the main sights, with beautiful views of the French countryside. Bayuex is 5-10 minutes away, Caen 20-30, Omaha Beach 15-20, Point du Hoch 20-30, Saint Mere Eglise 35-45, Deauville Beach about an hour, and Mont Saint Michel about 90 minutes. I’d definitely come back. If you want a party scene, this may not be the place for you. During the D-day anniversary, the partying happens in Saint Mere Eglise. If you want to drink without worrying about driving, stay in Saint Mere Eglise or one of the major cities. For a solo responsible traveler, a family, or a couple, though, this hotel is a great fit, especially for a first visit to Normandy when you want a good base for seeing everything.

The rooms are large, and you can park close by, which makes unpacking and coming and going easy. Many rooms are on the ground floor. It’s a quiet spot just off the main road between Arromanches-les-Bains and Bayeux. Breakfast was good, though not great. I found the bedding sweaty because of the polyester mattress protector.

The staff were welcoming and engaging, and I enjoyed the breakfast buffet, which had something a little different each morning. We spent most of our time in Bayeux and Arromanches, both easy to reach from here. We stayed three days and nights this summer. The rooms were nice, clean, and quiet, though they could feel a bit crowded with more than three people, especially if you’re traveling with the people you’re staying with. We’d go back in a heartbeat. Traveled here Aug 12

The chalet style rooms in the garden are a fun change, and the place is well located for exploring Normandy. We’ve stayed three times this year and will be back in September. We prefer this to the formality of big, impersonal hotels. The rooms are very clean and comfortable, and the hosts are welcoming. Thank you, Issabella and Pascal.
