We spent a restful week here as a family, staying in one of the summer houses, and we'd happily come back. The site was quiet, which we really appreciated, and there was plenty to do: pétanque, ping pong, table football, volleyball, plus running along the beach. I only wish there had been a few more organised options, like local outings or a relaxed ping pong tournament. The house was clean, felt safe, and had a well-equipped kitchen with a gas hob, so cooking was easy. We also loved being able to walk to the nearby beaches for swimming and SUP. The pizzas made fresh on site were a treat too.
There were 14 of us, from a three-year-old up to grandparents, and the site worked perfectly for our family group. The pitches were roomy, the beaches and restaurants were easy to get to, and the facilities were great. Staff were friendly and made us feel welcome.
If you're coming in a camper, I'd avoid this place. During our month in Brittany we stayed at lots of campsites, and this one cost about three times as much per night as the others while having the worst facilities by far. There wasn't anywhere to take on water or empty the toilet. The toilets were a five-minute walk away, and the showers were dirty and mouldy. Our pitch was tiny, with the front of the camper touching a neighbour's tent on one side and a hedge on the other. Our friends had a nice lodge, a caravan, but those were packed in very tightly too. The pool and nearby beaches were lovely, but the missing basics made our stay really uncomfortable. I raised the problems with three or four people at the park. Since the facilities simply weren't there, staff couldn't fix them, so I was left to put up with it. Because I hadn't made a fuss at the time, they wouldn't refund me afterwards. The most they offered was £11. After the way customer service handled it, I wouldn't stay at another camp in this group.
We paid about 16 euros a day in the off season for a pitch for two people and a car, which was a good price. The site has a nice pool and large play areas, so it seems well suited to families. The pitches are green, and the morning bread service was good. Showers were reasonably good and clean enough. I imagine it gets quite crowded in high season, which could affect privacy.
The beaches around here are lovely, and there are lots of pretty villages nearby. We enjoyed Trevignon, the spots closer to Nevez, and trips to Pont Aven, Quimper and Concarneau. A few minutes' walk away, the village has a great restaurant, a beautiful 15th-century church, an older outdoor font, and a good boulangerie. We had a fab time, including at St Philliberts festival. The campsite is pretty, small, and mostly well kept. The pool was lovely and peaceful, though it needs some maintenance: filter covers were broken and trim was coming away inside. Our lodge for four was clean, but two hob burners didn't work. There was no oven, as advertised, so that wasn't a surprise. When it rained, the lounge vent leaked, and a corner of the seat cushion was mouldy, which seemed like an ongoing problem. The little square curtains don't cover the windows properly and really should be replaced. The outdoor furniture was dirty and needed cleaning, and the plastic on the tables had deteriorated, though those weren't major issues. The outside bar was nice, but it only opened once during our last week of August. Waffles and ice cream were advertised out there but weren't available, although ice cream could be bought from the inside bar. It was disappointing, especially since we were still in August until the last two days. The shop could be better, and more activities would have improved our rating. Entertainment was mostly in French, so I can't fully comment, but we joined in where we could and still had fun. The quiz might have been tricky, though! Staff were pleasant and tried to include us despite our limited French, and I did try. We didn't see any security, so I can imagine things might get rowdy in high season. Still, we'd recommend the site overall.
