Michouat

The quiet setting at Michouat was exactly what we needed: stars overhead, a lovely pool, and a place that makes it easy to slow down. We were comfortable throughout our five nights, and Andy and Jules were relaxed, open, and full of useful tips for things to do. We visited the reservoirs and Jardin de Massey in Tarbes, and getting to the Jazz in Marciac festival was easy. We also loved spending time with our hosts. Their meals on our first and last nights were a particular treat, elegant and gentle, with thoughtful, creative cooking that let us properly relax and indulge. Andy and Jules are warm, honest, and fun, and the whole stay felt like being at home. We’d come back without hesitation, whether for a break or simply a change of scenery. Thanks so much for making our trip feel like home.

The rooms were clean and thoughtfully decorated, and the countryside views stretch toward the Pyrenees. We made good use of the pool, enjoyed lovely food, wine, and company, and even tried the tandem bike. Julie and Andy made the stay at Michouat memorable with their warm hosting. We loved it and will be back. Gary and Charlotte xxx

Dinner on our second night was a highlight, Jules cooked a delicious spread full of flavour. Andy and Jules were thoughtful and attentive throughout, happy to chat or suggest things to do, and we felt like part of the family. We’re already looking forward to returning later this year. The Gite itself was comfortable and full of charming touches. Our late arrival was no problem, and the prepared log burner made the place feel cosy right away. The mattress was wonderfully comfortable and the luxurious linen helped me sleep deeply. It was an unforgettable stay, with a lovely mix of comfort and hospitality. Thank you, Andy and Jules. We’d planned just an overnight stop on the way from the Basques to Toulouse, but Andy and Julia’s place made us wish we could stay longer. From the moment we arrived, it felt like somewhere we’d enjoy. The rooms, breakfast, pool, and peaceful surroundings were all lovely. We’d recommend it to anyone travelling through the region. Andy, Julie, their dogs and cat will see us again one day.
