La Licorne Hotel & Spa Troyes - MGallery Collection

The subterranean spa was the highlight for us. The pool and sauna were wonderfully relaxing, and the buffet breakfast had a delicious range of choices. We didn’t eat at the main restaurant. Our room was huge, with a notably large corner shower, and the bed was so comfortable we slept perfectly. La Licorne Hôtel & Spa has real character and felt welcoming from the moment we arrived. The staff were friendly and glad to offer useful tips about the local area.

We’ll come back every time we return to Troyes. The hotel is dog friendly and has parking. We didn’t have breakfast, but had dinner at the bar one night, and everything was tasty and well cooked. We stayed three nights at the start of December for Troyes' Christmas market and medieval churches. The team made us feel welcome right away. Reception were extremely helpful and accommodating, and the bar men were true gentlemen. After dropping our bags in the room, we relaxed with a glass of local champagne in the excellent bar. The spa was wonderful, and the rooms were bright and generous. Even the Sothys shower gel and shampoo were perfect, something many hotels underrate.

The location is right in the heart of the city, but it was peaceful enough that we didn’t hear much city noise. We stayed two nights. The room was clean, though for a five-star hotel I’d expect face or hand towels as well as the large body towels. There wasn’t a personal hygiene kit with q-tips or cotton pads either. I also noticed some small stains or brown marks on the white fireplace frame.

A lovely place in a cozy French town, with a nice area and very kind staff. The rooms were clean and spacious. Breakfast was good overall, though not perfect or especially varied. Thanks for a pleasant stay 🫶
