The location is fantastic, though a taxi can’t drop you right at the door. The hotel was a letdown and didn’t feel like a four-star place. It was too expensive for what we got.

The staff were very helpful, and the parking arrangement worked well. It’s in a fantastic location and breakfast was good. The rooms, though, need a proper deep clean, along with some attention to damaged fittings, marked walls, and the general tired look.

We stayed for one night at the end of December, in room 106, expecting a comfortable luxury stay at a four-star hotel to finish our vacation. That wasn’t what we got. The room was freezing when we arrived around 6:30 pm. The receptionist tried setting the heating to 28 degrees at full blast, but the unit was in the hallway rather than the room, so it made little difference. We couldn’t change rooms. Three hours later it was still cold, and the heating had switched off for some unknown reason. The night receptionist got it running again, partly, but even at full power it couldn’t warm the bedroom, probably because of where the unit was placed. We had to sleep in extra clothes. There was no comfort in this “comfort room,” and that’s unacceptable for a four-star hotel. We paid €175 at check-in. We politely asked Mr. David Abi Aad, the Manager, for at least a partial refund, but he refused. We can’t recommend this hotel.

We paid more than 550 for two nights in the ‘Junior suite’, and the room was filthy. There were visible stains on the pillows through their covers, no pillow protectors, and hairs in both the bed and shower. We asked for extra pillowcases because we didn’t feel comfortable using the dirty bedding. Dust was thick everywhere, there was grime beside the bed, croissant crumbs covered the balcony table and chairs, and the walls were marked and stained. The room was also dark and dreary. It felt more like a brothel than a four-star hotel. I’ve stayed in cleaner motels, and at that price we shouldn’t have to ask a hotel to clean properly. We didn’t raise the dirt with staff. Then there’s the money issue. We had prepaid for the room, but another 100€ was taken from our account without notice or consent. My wife only spotted it by checking her bank account. Staff called it a ‘guarantee’, which makes no sense since we’d paid everything, including parking, upfront. They said it would be refunded, but we still haven’t got it back. We called and were told we’d get a call back, but no one called. The day after checkout, they even said on the phone they couldn’t find our booking. We saw other reviews saying this had happened to others. We’ve stayed in at least 20+ hotels around France, from budget places to expensive 5* hotels, and have never been charged for a ‘guarantee’. Stay far away. The place is dirty and taking money from people, hoping they won’t notice. I’d like to meet whoever decided this hotel deserved four stars. A joke!

The reception and breakfast room are beautifully designed, and the staff were very helpful. The hotel is wonderfully situated, with the added benefit of underground parking. Sadly, the room was very average, to put it kindly. Dated is one thing, but grotty is another, and I can’t understand how it still has a four-star rating. Maybe they’re renovating room by room, given how lovely reception looks, but I’d stay somewhere else next time until the rooms match what you expect from a four-star hotel. There’s no restaurant, though that wasn’t a problem since there are so many places to eat right outside the front door. Maybe that’s why the hotel doesn’t have its own restaurant.
