I spent three nights on the first floor in a street-facing room. Noise carried badly, from people outside and from guests coming back late, talking as they went up the stairs. Although it's a non-smoking place, I could smell a lot of cigarette smoke on the first two nights.

The rooms are basic but do the job, though the beds felt a little too firm. It was great to have a locked garage where we could keep our bicycles.

Right in the heart of beautiful Uzès, this charming city-centre hotel is run by the friendly, helpful manager, Sophie. It was exceptionally clean. I recommend it wholeheartedly.

The town is a dream, and the housekeeper was helpful. The hotel itself was clean, good and affordable.
