We've been before, but this will be our last visit. My family and I ate at La Mourra restaurant and were seated in a dark, dingy corner where we could barely read the menu. The food was average, and the menu hasn't changed in a few years. We knew it was very overpriced, but the bill still came to 550 euros, with service charge included. Then the waiter arrived with the card machine and rudely asked, “Are you going give a tip? How much tip?” It spoiled the whole evening. I've eaten in much better places all over the world and never faced such a blatant demand for a tip. Here's a tip for Mourra: be classy, serve better food, change the menu now and then, and teach staff some etiquette. Then you'll get the voluntary tip you demanded on top of the service charge.

I can only speak for the restaurant, which was fabulous. The sushi, sashimi, and nigiri were all top notch, and the ambience was great with excellent service. The set menu was the only disappointment, but overall it was a brilliant experience.

The bill was changed and replaced at the end of the meal without anyone explaining why. The service had already felt odd: the waiters seemed to think we were at fault, despite the problems with dinner. The miso cod was badly prepared and the portion was unusually small, while the mochis were frozen inside and inedible. I’d been coming here regularly for years, which made this visit especially disappointing.

Beautiful surroundings and very good service, with food that holds up well. The sushi is as good as anywhere, and Restaurant La Mourra can stand alongside many high-end restaurants in the region. I can’t speak for the reviews below, but I had a great experience.
