The management and staff were generally helpful and happy to assist, though some staff seemed inexperienced. I won't be coming back, mostly because I thought the resort itself was poor. The slope grading leaves a lot to be desired: as a seasoned skier I found the blues like reds, the reds like blacks, and even some greens steep in places. It's also bloody expensive, with hot chocolate at 7€, so the prices felt premium for a poor resort.

The meals were generally excellent compared with the usual fare, and the staff were genuinely friendly. The hotel is small, with about a five minute walk to the lifts and just a couple of minutes to the bus stations for Daille or Fornet. Ski shops and restaurants are all around, and there's a market literally next door, which makes shopping easy. I've been skiing in the Alps for years and usually keep my expectations moderate for accommodation, so this place was fantastic for a ski stay. The hotel was renovated fairly recently, maybe 5-7 years ago, and it shows. The rooms are much larger than I'm used to, and the fixtures and general feel are high quality. Very much recommended if you're heading to Val.

The staff were so friendly and would go out of their way to help, or simply say hello and ask about your day. The food was excellent, with good choices and quality ingredients. The hotel was beautiful and exceptionally clean, and the beds were super comfortable. Tea and coffee in the rooms, complimentary toiletries, and bathrobes and slippers were a nice bonus. Highly recommend.

The food was fabulous quality, the staff were lovely and friendly, and the location right in the heart of Val was great. It's a beautiful hotel, and the best I've stayed in across the Alps. I don't usually write reviews, but felt I had to recommend it!
