Le Clocher

We were out cycling and called on a Sunday in a panic because we needed a room. Even though they weren’t officially open for guests, they found a way to accommodate us. Dinner was made with local products, and breakfast had everything we needed, plus really good coffee. It’s such a cute little place with a lovely Terrasse. I’d happily come back and recommend it to everyone.

Dinner turned into a really enjoyable evening, with us, the other two guests, and mr and mrs Grappe sharing the table and a good conversation while mr. Grappe worked the barbecue. The owners gave us a warm welcome, the setting was lovely, the food was good, and the rooms were beautiful to sleep in. We were shown several rooms, each different and decorated by the owner. We’d only come for one night a few weeks ago, and I was surprised when the guesthouse owner knew me by name as soon as we arrived. We’ve never had such an enjoyable stay at a guesthouse. Definitely somewhere to return to, worth all 5 stars.

The place is lovely and peaceful, and the hosts are really friendly and accommodating. They made the same meal for our group, just without the meat for the vegetarians.

I was biking through town and only stopped by during the day. It wasn’t their official hours, but this amazing couple at a beautiful house welcomed me so kindly and gave me recommendations. Thank you very much!
