After a day riding through the Alps, this was a great place to stop and rest. I stayed at La Vieille Auberge on my motorcycle trip around Europe. The room was clean and cosy, the staff made me feel welcome, and the food was really tasty. Great atmosphere and value in the heart of Vars.

We stopped for lunch while travelling through the Alps and had a lovely meal. The Plat du Jour veal came with vegetables from the garden. Food and service were great, the staff were very friendly, and the surroundings were pretty. Highly recommended.

We booked one night while passing through on our motorcycles, and the people here were incredibly kind and friendly. They gave us a garage for the bikes, served an excellent dinner, and we slept in super comfortable beds. Breakfast was excellent too, with fantastic service. I love meeting people with such a warm, welcoming nature!

The hospitality and service were a full 10/10. It's a very friendly, family-run place, and they treated us really well as foreigners. In my view, this is the best traditional hotel and restaurant in France, without a doubt.
