We only stopped for coffee and drinks, which were reasonably priced. The spot in Vezelay is lovely and shady, and the waitress was fantastic, so welcoming and full of sparkle.

Our van broke down on the toll road Friday and won’t be fixed until Tuesday. A taxi driver suggested this hotel, and I’m so glad we ended up here. It’s clean, the bedrooms are quirky but functional, and our views were beautiful. We speak limited French, but the staff were patient and kind and helped us out. The receptionist is always cheerful, and the kitchen staff chat with you all the time. Breakfast is worth paying for, with tea and coffee on tap. We never would have come here if fate hadn’t stepped in.

Our children got to play in the garden, and the hotel even put out Easter eggs for them. They were extremely accommodating. We had a garden room, and the rooms were clean with a cozy atmosphere. A perfect hotel for families.

Good value and a fabulous location. The rooms are a little dated, though comfortable. Next time I’d probably skip breakfast and pop into the boulangerie instead.

A very friendly family hotel, with an excellent breakfast, bar and lunch.
