The staff were really kind and helpful, and some of them speak English. The hotel sits by a small village with just one bakery, and has a big parking lot plus a lovely garden that’s almost a park. Breakfast was decent, with lots of sweet French bread to choose from, but no whole wheat bread, and you have to boil the eggs yourself. The beds were fine and the shower a little cramped. The room itself was okay, though dated looking, and it didn’t have a fridge or air conditioning.

The food was my favorite part. Our group of six had starters, main courses, and dessert, and every dish was thoughtfully put together and delicious. Try staying up after dinner in case you get to chat with the owner and chef, who was lovely to talk to. My French could use some brushing up, but it was a great evening. I was traveling through France from Belgium to visit American WW1 battle sites and cemeteries, and this was the fourth hotel in four nights. By far the best. As an American, some out-of-the-way places in Europe can take a bit of getting used to, but this hotel was beautiful, with a modern, clean, attractive lobby and rooms.

I was rushing from Lake Garda to the UK, so I couldn't enjoy the restaurant, though it looked lovely and the breakfast menu smelled delicious. The room was pleasant and practical, with a huge, very comfortable bed. The staff were lovely. I arrived late and the night manager was very helpful when I contacted them. My room was missing milk for the coffee, probably just an oversight because of my late arrival. I was overcharged by 8 euros, but honestly would have gladly paid that just for the bed. A really nice hotel. johnm.
