We like this hotel for its location and really good breakfast, but management needs to pay more attention to maintenance. The lift was out for the entire weekend, and the toilet flush in our room was faulty. These are the details that matter, especially at a four-star hotel of this standard. The same maintenance problems keep coming up, while prices continue to rise. Price and quality need to line up.

The breakfast selection is pretty standard, but the quality of many items is better than you'd usually get at a similar hotel. The cheese and ham actually had good texture and taste, and the cakes seemed freshly baked rather than unpacked. The hotel was clean and the staff welcoming.

Breakfast was good, though there wasn't much to choose from. The room was clean, had a bathtub and blackout curtains, but I couldn't work out how to close the curtains, so ask reception. Staff speak English. There's no dinner at the hotel, but restaurants are nearby and Uber Eats is an option for takeaway.

8/10
Right in the city centre, with several places to eat within 500 metres, including takeaway spots. There's no restaurant in the hotel. It's clean and warm, and fine for a short city stay without frills. The rooms are small and the shower pressure is a bit weak, but so far it's been an OK place to stay.

The hotel is in good repair, the bed was comfortable, and parking is free. It's also handy for motorway access. The staff we spoke to were all very friendly, spoke English and made us feel welcome.
