Château Haut Gléon - Chambres d'hôtes

La Source, the cottage we stayed in, was comfortable and very well equipped. It can be rented for a whole week by a group of 20, with everything set up for an independent stay.

The hosts were friendly and welcoming without being intrusive, and the château is easy to find, just a few minutes from the highway. We stayed two nights in January in the “Les Fontaines” prestige room, and everything went smoothly. It was quiet and clean, with a very comfortable bed and good amenities, including a large shower and a medium-sized bathtub. Breakfast was plentiful and high quality, served in a beautiful room that catches the morning sun. We’d gladly stay again and recommend the place.

The estate’s slightly tucked-away setting made for a peaceful stay, though villages and hiking trails were still only 5-10 minutes away. We spent two romantic nights in a guest room in one wing of the farmhouse. The ceiling may feel low, but the room was quiet and comfortable, with a large bed. Breakfast was included, generous and complete, with excellent jams, including some unusual ones sold in the wine cellar shop. Guests can use the lovely pool, which looks out over the hillside. There’s also a pretty park with a few tables, where you can sit among the vines and olive trees, hear the cicadas, and enjoy the estate’s wine.

We walked around learning about the grape varieties and the terroir, then had a wine tasting. Our guide was warm, smiling throughout, and exceptional. We had a wonderful time!
