We had confirmation for a particular room, but when we arrived it had been given to someone else and we were put in a lesser room. When we complained, the owners became very rude. At least the bed was comfortable and the food was good.

The staff were quite friendly and nice. I didn't get to stay at the hotel, but the renovated château is beautiful, with an amazing view of the Dentelle mountains. The food was exquisite, and the house wines were amazing.

Things went smoothly for us, and the food and wine were excellent. Still, the accommodations weren't up to par. The Wi-Fi was weak, there was no TV in the room, and there weren't enough power sockets. These days we all have loads of devices to charge daily, so that wasn't acceptable. In France, the customer isn't always right, so you may want to be on your best behavior at certain places. Staff might look you over and decide how much effort or service to give. It could go great or completely wrong. We were lucky.

Dinner came in a creative, interesting menu, served in a charming room with a huge stone fireplace and toile de jouy chairs. There were damask tablecloths and silver candlesticks, too. Don't miss this place, even out in its rural setting.

The chateau is an old building with a lot of charm, set on large grounds surrounded by vineyards. It's simply beautiful. We stayed two nights and were treated very well. The proprietor was a lovely lady who welcomed us warmly. If you want modern conveniences like super-fast Wi-Fi or up-to-date equipment, this probably isn't for you. Thank you Dominic.
