Hôtel Le Magic & Spa

We loved the atmosphere, the spa hours from 7am-10pm, and the restaurant. The food was simple, full of flavor, and reasonably priced. Breakfast was nice too, and there's free parking nearby on weekends. We were delighted with our staycation. The staff were friendly, and our room was spacious and super clean. We loved the bathroom, and we're definitely thinking about coming back :)

The only real downside for us was nighttime noise from the street and party scenes. It's on the main road, very close to the train station, and we'd hoped for quieter nights. Otherwise, we had clean rooms with comfy beds and plenty of space, a continental breakfast, friendly staff, and a great indoor pool with a sauna and gym facility. We stayed a couple of nights in October on the way from Normandy to Bordeux. The hotel is in the old town, just steps from the Castle and near lots of restaurants. If you're driving, parking is across the street. Drop your luggage and check in first, then park. You can stop temporarily at the curb by the main entrance.

Myriam at the front desk was wonderful. They accommodated our late checkout and held our bags. The hotel is beautiful, with clean rooms, comfortable beds, and a nice atmosphere. Some things were still being set up since it had just opened, and a few people in our group had trouble with WiFi. I'd definitely recommend it.

The whole stay was a letdown. Most of the staff spoke no English, though one girl was very nice. Breakfast didn't feel up to a 4 star hotel, and I couldn't open the windows in our room, which was ridiculous. It smelled bad and had only air conditioning; I prefer fresh air from outside. There's no way into the hotel with a trolley or wheelchair, just stairs. Parking costs 8 euros a day, while I paid 1 euro a day on the main street beside the hotel. They sell food from their "kitchen," but it's terrible, little cans warmed up and served as meals.
