The chapel made for a picturesque ceremony, though we knew it wasn't guaranteed: Natalia and Patrick explained that we'd need the priest's permission, gave us his contact details, and we were lucky to get his approval. French Catholic Church requirements can be strict, so we were ready to hold the ceremony outside if it didn't work out. We booked the whole Château de Vitry-La-Ville for our wedding guests and had a wonderful few nights there. The grounds were gorgeous and well cared for, and the rooms and bathrooms were clean, with plenty of sheets, blankets, towels, and toiletries. Natalia and Patrick were generous hosts, letting us arrange the space as we wanted and choose our own caterers and drinks vendors. That freedom isn't allowed at every wedding venue. In the months before our June 2025 wedding, Natalia and Patrick patiently answered our many questions, even though our French was limited. We appreciated being welcomed to celebrate there as foreigners. They also arranged a last-minute in-person château tour, which really helped us plan. From the preparations through the wedding day, everything went very well, and the day felt magical. My wife and I are grateful they let us use their Château for a day we'll always remember. I'd recommend it for a wedding or a stay in the French countryside.

Breakfast was a highlight, fresh, tasty, and a lovely take on a traditional French breakfast. There was plenty of safe parking on site, too. We felt at home as soon as we arrived, thanks to the friendly, welcoming hosts. The chateau was beautiful, spotless, and tidy, with a homely feel that made it easy to relax. Such a memorable place for a French getaway, and we'd gladly recommend it.

Châlons-en-Champagne turned out to be a surprisingly friendly, enjoyable town, with some really good restaurants. The castle sits between Épernay and Troyes, so we could explore the Champagne region from there. We had a perfect stay. The castle is lovely, the rooms are spacious, and the host made us feel like family. I'd wholeheartedly recommend spending a few nights here.
