Hotel du Bollenberg

The location is beautiful, but the hotel wasn’t worth the price. Our room was very small and had an unpleasant smell. The bathroom was split into two spaces, one for showering and one for the toilet, but there was no sink by the toilet, so I couldn’t wash up afterward. The shower area took up almost half the room, which made little sense, and with no door, water got everywhere and left a huge mess. The reception staff came across as snobbish and didn’t seem to care much about guests. I definitely wouldn’t recommend this place to Asians, since we use water to clean ourselves after using the toilet rather than tissue. I’d look for a better hotel nearby, unless you have no other choice.

The restaurant's menu is limited, which is a shame. The place is very nice to stay, though it’s a bit out of the way.

We were surrounded by beautiful green scenery in the middle of a large vineyard, a great setting for getting away into nature and disconnecting from social media. The staff were very friendly. The only small drawback was the patchy Wi-Fi, though the owner said they’d soon have fiber. I’d recommend it for a peaceful escape.

The staff were friendly and the rooms were clean, but they were extremely small. For the price and quality, I didn’t think the hotel deserved its three stars.
