Moxy Aberdeen Airport

The room was small but perfectly adequate for one night, and spotlessly clean. The hotel's handy for P&J Live Arena, about an 18-minute walk away. Breakfast, though, was a letdown: the buffet dishes were empty, there were no plates, glasses or cutlery, and the hot drinks machine had a long queue. Staff put it down to demand after the big event the night before, but they knew how many guests were booked and should have had enough staff. Hopefully it was a one-off.

The staff were courteous and very helpful, and the hotel was spotless. Food was fine, and the TV was very good, though streaming apps other than YouTube need Chromecast. Wi-Fi wasn't fast enough for streaming, and while the bed was comfortable, I would've liked a thicker duvet.

It's a lovely hotel, though not the cheapest. The rooms are on the small side, and the toilet is tiny, but the facilities are decent and the mood lighting is nice. Breakfast could've been better, but it was good enough.

Flight trouble meant I needed a last-minute booking, and sorting it out was quick and easy. The friendly, helpful staff and good food and drinks at the bar made for a relaxed atmosphere that helped ease the travel stress. I'll put it at the top of my list next time I travel through Aberdeen airport.
