The staff at the Bodalwyn guest house got us out of a difficult situation, and we're very grateful. We'd booked another hotel nearby, but it had a strong smell, possibly an exhaust leak from the furnace. My mom had an asthma attack, so we couldn't stay there. We walked over to the Bodalwyn in the dark, after hours, and the staff scrambled to get a room ready for us. It was clean and had no smell, the beds were comfortable, and everyone was very friendly and accommodating. We really appreciated their help.

We had a really lovely, clean room with a comfy bed, and were able to bring our dog. The house is one street back from the seafront, up at the North end where dogs are allowed. It's central and good value, and the parking opposite was handy. We paid £7 for 24 hours. Check-in and checkout were done through instructions, which worked smoothly. Only thing I'd add is a small fridge in the room. Otherwise, a fantastic stay!

The room was quiet, nicely decorated and comfortable, with plenty of tea, coffee and biscuits. The location was amazing, easy to find, and the instructions were clear. The local pub, The Glengower, was lovely, and there's a great walk up to Wellington Fort nearby, though wear walking boots! Parking took some luck. We came on a bank holiday weekend and there wasn't a space anywhere, even in the small main car park across the road. After driving around for a third time, someone left a spot on North Road and we managed to park. I'd think ahead about parking when choosing when to visit. We'd stay again.

We picked Bodalwyn Guest House to finish a four-day cycling trip and made the right choice. The rooms were lovely, clean and well presented, and the arrival and checkout instructions were very clear. Most of all, we got a great night's sleep. Service was great and the hosts were accommodating about our specific needs. We'll be back with family next time!

It's just a short walk to the centre and practically on the beach, but far enough away that you escape the noise. A lovely guest house, with clean, well-furnished rooms, a very comfortable bed and a nice hot shower. Couldn't recommend it more.
