Royal Snug & WEE Snug

We booked the wee snug for my partner’s 30th birthday and found it perfectly clean, with all the essentials and so much thought put into what guests might need. The owner and family were very friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. It was well worth the money and the six-hour drive, and we’ll definitely return. There’s loads to do in the snug: a pool table, air hockey, ping pong, darts and Alexa, plus extra games in the drawers. Absolutely perfect.

The gardens and location were sublime, and the snug was far beyond what we expected. Key collection was clear and straightforward. I hesitated to leave a review because I wanted to keep this lovely spot to myself so I could rebook soon. Billy and the staff were extremely friendly from start to finish. I wish them all the best and will absolutely book again as soon as I can.

We stayed for a few nights in the week before our wedding. It was just right for cosy evenings watching TV and birdwatching from bed. In the private garden, we spotted everything from robins to falcons. The bed was comfy, there was everything we needed for a bite to eat, the shower was powerful, and blankets were ready for snuggling on the sofa. It’s locally owned and looked after. We’ll be taking over the snugs with the rest of the family soon. Highly recommended.

A lovely apartment for a relaxed couple of days. There isn’t much nearby, just one shop and a Chinese. A small hamper or even some milk on arrival would have helped, as the shop was closed when we got there. After a couple of hours driving, a cuppa and biscuit would have been nice.
