The room was the main drawback for us. It felt extremely cramped, especially with luggage. Breakfast was okay, though more choice would help, and the breakfast staff could have been a bit more welcoming. The reception team were professional and helpful, and cleanliness was generally acceptable by UK standards. Balmoral House Hotel is in a great spot for getting around London and seeing the main sights. I stayed here with my daughter, and the location is what makes it a good option despite a few things that could be better.

The rooms are tiny, and the breakfast is very average in both quality and quantity. Service generally felt average too. When I asked reception for more milk for the tea and coffee in the room, they wouldn't provide any beyond the four small pots already supplied. For the price, it wasn't worth it.

There are plenty of cafés, restaurants and convenience stores nearby, and Hyde Park is an easy walk away. Paddington Station is just around the corner, with the Tube, Heathrow Express and long-distance trains. It made a practical base for sightseeing and concerts. I was travelling alone for a long weekend and mostly needed somewhere to sleep and have breakfast. The room was compact and very clean, and the staff were courteous and efficient. The location is excellent.

Mark at reception was really lovely, and the rest of the staff were kind and respectful too. For tourists, this is well worth considering. Paddignton station is close by, with restaurants and markets around, so you have what you need nearby.

The location is brilliant, the rooms are clean, the beds are comfortable and the staff are friendly. This hotel never lets me down. Highly recommend.
