Lower House B&B

We stayed in the cottage with our dog while we worked on my mum’s house nearby, and it was just right. It’s a beautiful, quaint little space, and Chris & Nicki were warm, welcoming and flexible. Each morning they brought us a tasty, wholesome breakfast, with freshly baked muffins too. We’d definitely recommend Lower House B&B to friends and family.

Chris and Nicki were lovely hosts, and we really enjoyed the amazing breakfast, especially the muffin and cooked meal. The room and accommodation were lovely too. We’ve just had a very pleasant stay at that lower house. B&B, in a perfect spot for exploring the local Shropshire hills.

I stayed in Barley cottage, which had a decent kitchen, was nicely furnished with all the usual mod cons, and felt quaint. It can suit a couple and a child or three adults. Chris and Nicki’s cottages and B&B are in the grounds of their home, and they’ve made it such a restful, welcoming place. I found it easy to relax there and really didn’t want to leave. Breakfast is served in the main house and the full English was to die for, especially the locally bought sizzler sausages. I came home with a dozen from the butcher. There was also bacon, eggs, mushrooms, tomatoes, beans and toast, plus fruit, yoghurt, juice, tea, coffee, croissants and muffins. It was almost too much, I could have burst! 🤣 The area is beautiful, with walks and villages to explore and some fab eateries nearby. You can paddle in the River Clun at the bridge in Leintwerdine or picnic on the bank. Such a lovely part of the country, and the hosts are the loveliest I’ve come across. We felt right at home in a spotless, comfortable room, and the remote setting made for a peaceful break. Chris & Nicki were incredibly kind and welcoming, and their local tips added a lot to our trip. Breakfast was delicious each morning, with a cooked meal and homemade muffins to enjoy. Highly recommend this charming B&B to anyone visiting the area!
