Beth and Rosie are such a credit to Wetherspoons. They made us feel welcome, and their people skills are brilliant, especially with all the customer madness they have to deal with. We’ll definitely come back and tell everyone to visit because of how kind they were. Love to you all ❤️♥️❤️♥️

We wanted a nice birthday outing for our nanny, with my 16-year-old sister and her emotional support dog, but it turned into a really upsetting experience at Aldershot Wetherspoons. The manager and other staff refused us food or any service unless the dog left, which we couldn’t do because my sister has severe mental health difficulties and couldn’t leave it out of sight. I had repeatedly explained that it was a support dog for her mental health and shown the tag to staff. The female manager later came to our table and grabbed the dog by the neck to look for a tag I’d already shown her. The way we were treated caused my sister a lot of anxiety and distress, and since then she hasn’t wanted to go out again. This happened on Sunday the 3rd at about 4:30. I’m very upset, and I also feel our appearance and culture may have played a part in the discrimination. This needs to be resolved, and their “policy” needs to change. Thanks for nothing, Ben

Being just ten minutes from the train station, this was a handy spot for business travel. I booked a room at the last minute as a comfort break while travelling by train through bad weather and interruptions. Booking and check-in were quick and easy, and good value. The staff were friendly, and I was surprised by how quiet and comfortable the room was. There were plenty of refreshments, a hot bath, thick curtains and a comfy bed. I slept like a baby and would stay again.

The food was good, and I tried the new spice bowl, which comes with a choice of rice or chips. The staff were friendly and clearly work incredibly hard. One thing I noticed: table orders give them only five minutes to serve you, while bar orders allow ten.

I expected the usual Wetherspoons experience and was totally let down, in the best way. The staff were wonderful, the room was fresh and quiet, and the food was great. I can’t rate our stay highly enough. I wanted to keep this as my little secret for SW London stays, but Beth and the whole team deserve the credit. See you again! 👏👏👏 “Sorry to ask again, but are you suuuuure this is a Wetherspoons?” 😆
