Dafydd and Jo were great hosts, with local stories and knowledge, plus Jo's dry wit if you got chatting. Breakfast was lovely: sausage, bacon, egg, potato, mushrooms and tomatoes, with lava bread available on request. The twin room and wetroom were nice, though the shower could have had more power. There’s free parking, a pub seven minutes away on foot, and several beaches a short drive away. Driving to them is better than a long walk. Excellent stay.

We stayed at Blas Gwyr last weekend and will definitely return. The owner was lovely and flexible, and made us a great breakfast both mornings. Our room was spacious and quiet, and the shower was amazing. It’s a short walk to the beach and pub, and a good spot for a walking holiday.

We were sorry when our few days at Blas Gwyr ended. It sits quietly at the edge of the village, with walks starting right outside the room. The place is dog friendly but so clean and well kept that you’d never guess our dog had been there. Our room was beautifully designed, immaculate, and had a very comfortable bed. The owner was a delight to talk to, welcoming and helpful without hovering, and cooked a brilliant breakfast. The bright breakfast room was nicely laid out, with enough choice for everyone, and the food was beautifully cooked and served. It set us up for a full day of walking.

Dafydd, the owner, really went out of his way with breakfast for my vegan wife, and it was superb. The property is lovely, the bed was great and the bathroom beautiful. In Llangennith, it’s a five-minute walk to the pub for food, or you can take a longer walk over the hill to Llanmadoc. A delightful visit, and we'd love to come back soon.

We came back for our second stay, this time for a lovely August 2020 weekend. After a heavy year at work, it was a much-needed break to recharge, and our first holiday in a year. The owner was a good host, cook and guide. The accommodation and breakfast setup had been adapted to keep things safe during the Covid era.
