We found the room clean, with comfortable beds and a tidy bathroom. Chloe was friendly from the moment we arrived, and she gave us a little map with the nearby highlights marked, which was really helpful. Everything is close by. I’d definitely recommend it if you want an affordable place to stay while enjoying the area. 😊😊

We booked at the last minute after the hotel we’d used the night before turned into a riot. Chloe was brilliant and very understanding. The room was a good enough size and absolutely spotless, with plenty of places to eat and drink about a 10-minute walk away. We’ll definitely be back.

The owner made us feel welcome and explained everything we might need to know, including where to find extra towels and how to contact her. Our room was spotless and had everything I needed. We could walk straight out to everything, and she even let us leave the car in the car park after checkout so we could wander around and get lunch.

Cleanliness matters most to me, and this place was really clean and tidy. The welcome was friendly and professional, and the host was happy to share local tips. Anchorage Guest House is handy for exploring or breaking up a longer trip: parking is available, the train station is a three-minute walk, and the bus terminal takes about 5-10 minutes on foot. Food options for breakfast, lunch and dinner are within five minutes, with a local shop just across the road for snacks and other basics. The guest house doesn’t yet have much of the host’s personality, and it may not suit anyone planning to spend whole days inside. I think that could change with time. For now, it’s a good location at a reasonable rate, with a lovely host.
