We were only five minutes from Mablethorpe, handy for a beach trip, and the cottage itself was clean and cosy. It was so quiet at night that we assumed nobody else had booked, though the place was nearly full that weekend. The heating had been put on before we arrived, which was much appreciated. The hot tub was brilliant, and we paid extra for two hours in the wellness spa. The kids loved the big heated jacuzzi and pool, and the sauna was great too. There was a nice shower and changing area.

The location is beautiful, but the pricing left us feeling nickel-and-dimed. Our pod cost over £160 per night, yet towels were an extra £10 (£5 each). You also have to take your rubbish away yourself. At that rate, the add-ons felt sharp. Around £80 a night might have made optional extras easier to understand. I've stayed in a very similar pod overlooking the ocean for significantly less, with everything included, plus smart lighting and Bluetooth speakers. The kitchenette was described as fully equipped, but there was no salt, pepper or kitchen roll, even though salt and pepper appeared in the photos. There was no shampoo or shower gel in the bathroom, and the hand soap dispenser had less than ½ cm of soap left, not enough to use. The wetroom flooded badly; unless you squeegee the water toward the drain, it doesn't drain, and after one shower without soap we were left with a soaking floor. WiFi was another charge, even though the Smart TV could use guest WiFi. Reviews from 2 years ago said they hoped to sort WiFi in the future, so this is still an issue. The TV was faulty too, with huge black bars on high contrast images. Internet is a basic need these days. In principle, this could have been a 5 star stay, but those policies brought my score down by 2 stars.

We arrived on a freezing day to a lovely warm pod, and the hot tub looking out over the fields felt wonderfully private. The site was quiet, just right for us. We stayed one night in glamping pod 1 and had a great meal at the stables, with excellent service. We loved it and would definitely go back.

We stayed in Samphire Lodge when it was -4, and it was still toasty warm. The kitchen was well equipped, with a wine cooler and washer, and there was a Smart TV. The cabin bunk beds with reading portholes were a hit with the kids. Bathrooms and showers were brilliant, and the beds and linen felt high quality. Everything was well maintained and nicely presented, exceeding our expectations. The hot tub was fantastic, and the staff were all welcoming and really nice. We had a great breakfast at the Stables restaurant. Mablethorpe is only a few minutes' drive away, and there are good running routes nearby. For WiFi, you can hire a 5G box in advance; our phones also had good 5G, so a phone hotspot worked. Highly recommend.

The Stables restaurant is small and the menu isn't huge, but the food was all homemade and cooked lovely. The staff were so welcoming and helpful, especially Ellie, who helped arrange a few other bits. Food, staff and room were all 10/10. My wife and I came to celebrate her birthday and have a quiet night away, with time to chill out and use the hot tub. There's not much nearby unless you drive a bit, but it was a peaceful overnight stay. It was our first time at grange farm park, and we'll definitely go back.
