We had such a fantastic time and will absolutely be back. The breakfast in the beautiful bistro was fresh and homemade, with both continental and cooked options, and the location is right in the centre of Alnwick beside the Castle. The rooms are gorgeous, with Penhaligon's products in the bathroom, a dreamy rainfall shower and freshly baked cookies every day. The staff were super friendly too.

We stayed for one night in May and everything was top class from arrival to departure. The room had everything we could have wanted. Dinner was delicious and the menu felt well thought out, while the waiting staff were a credit to their employers. Breakfast set us up for the day, and the bright dining room made for a lovely start. Perfectly located in Alnwick.

The staff were really friendly, and they even washed and dried my muddy running gear. We loved the decor, and the room and bed were spacious and comfortable. All the cooked breakfast options were superb. It's right beside the castle's main entrance, and we appreciated being able to park in front of the hotel, although that may not be available to everyone when it's full. We had a terrific mid-week stay at The Cookie Jar. Highly recommended.

Lyn served the delicious breakfast choices with such care, kindness and humour. Our comfortable room was tastefully decorated and had everything we needed. We spent two nights at the Cookie Jar and loved our stay. It was perfectly placed for our visits to Lindisfarne, Bamburgh and Craster. We'll be back, thank you!
