I had a spacious, clean single room with a good bathroom. The house is lovely and about a five-minute walk from the centre of Ambleside. Breakfast was very good with plenty to choose from, and Mike was happy to provide vegan alternatives. Great stay, would definitely recommend.

We had a lovely three-night stay in a spacious twin room. The owners were really nice and helpful, and the location was superb. There was plenty of parking, and breakfast had a great variety. We’ll definitely come again. Thanks!

Mike made us feel right at home and was a wonderful host. The house is fabulous, with lovely features and decor, and it’s only a short walk into Ambleside. Our room was spacious and spotless. We had breakfast on both days. Mike’s attention to detail was great, and it came piping hot with plenty to eat, including a full English if you wanted one. Thanks, Mike. We’ll be back.

We especially enjoyed the homemade bread at breakfast, which was excellent. Mike was friendly, welcoming and knew the area well. Our room was lovely and very clean, and the house is tucked away from the road with private parking, so we could leave the car and walk the five minutes into Ambleside. We had a most enjoyable weekend and would definitely return. I’d recommend it to anyone.
